How these numbers are measured
Detection lag compares the timestamp an employer's own careers system reports for a posting against the moment our scrapers first saw it. Only openings from the last 30 days where the source exposes a posting time, and where we detected within 24 hours, are counted (currently 289 openings). Openings without a source timestamp are excluded rather than guessed.
Want proof in real time? Watch the live detection feed, every entry shows how long after posting it was detected.
Where listings come from, what we never do and how corrections are handled is written up in how we list. What the season looks like from students' own tracked applications is on the season report.
