HSBC immersive assessment
Built by Cappfinity
- Format
- A Cappfinity immersive assessment: you take on a role and work through a business scenario that mixes strengths based situational judgement with embedded numerical, verbal and inductive questions, followed by a job simulation and a written or recorded task. Lloyds and NatWest run Cappfinity assessments of the same family.
- Timing
- Untimed but speed scored: Cappfinity records how long each answer takes and feeds it into the result alongside accuracy. The numerical part is reported at about 12 chart and table questions. Nothing about the marking is published.
- What is uncertain
- The scenario itself changes by programme and year. The strengths key behind the situational questions is never published, so any practice key, ours included, is a judgement about what the frameworks reward rather than HSBC's answers.
- How to practise
- Capp-Style Assessment for the situational and numerical core in one sitting, Situational Strengths for the judgement questions on their own, Numerical Reasoning for the numerical ones, Figure Series for the inductive ones.
