Rothschild & Co online assessment
Built by Cappfinity (reported)
- Format
- One untimed sitting of about 69 questions in three blocks: situational judgement scenarios set at the firm, answered by ranking the responses from the one you would most likely do to the one you would least likely do (older cycles picked the most and least likely of four); about forty behavioural pairs of opposing statements with a slider between them; and twelve numerical questions on charts and tables, one per page. Rothschild sends it for spring insight, summer and graduate programmes, and one assessment is reused across applications in the same year.
- Timing
- Rothschild says it is not timed and takes 30 to 45 minutes; the instructions candidates quote say allow 45 minutes in one sitting. Cappfinity records the time on every answer and it feeds the result alongside accuracy. Candidates in the 2025 and 2026 cycles call the numerical part easy and the situational and behavioural parts the hard ones. No marking is published.
- What is uncertain
- Rothschild does not name the provider. The untimed, slider-based format is Cappfinity's and candidates compare it to Cappfinity; some prep sites still describe a timed SHL numerical test from an older cycle, so the provider is reported, not stated. The split of the 69 questions and whether any verbal or logical items appear vary by account.
- How to practise
- Capp-Style Assessment runs all three blocks in one sitting. Situational Strengths for more scenarios on their own, Numerical Reasoning for the numbers on their own.
