What the test is like

Jane Street online assessment

Built by Jane Street

Format
Jane Street's own description is short: multiple choice and short answer questions. They also say their interviews are designed to need no preparation, which is a statement of intent rather than a reason to sit it cold.
Timing
About an hour, per Jane Street's careers site. They publish no question count, no marking scheme and no pass mark.
What is uncertain
Candidate reports add specifics: HackerRank hosting, roughly ten questions across four modules, heavy probability and expected value. Jane Street confirms none of it, so it is on this page as hearsay and nothing more.
How to practise
Practice Questions for the probability and brainteaser end, Dice Markets for expected value under uncertainty.
