Why this programme differs: Goldman's own student guidance says engineering applicants complete a HackerRank assessment where other programmes record a video interview, and one spring intern reported a maths paper alongside the programming one. Nothing here runs a coding round. Practise on a coding platform with hidden test cases, and rehearse the edge cases graders always include: the empty input, the single element, the case where nothing works.

Format
No aptitude test for the front office spring weeks. Both send a HireVue recorded interview: three to five questions, about 30 seconds to prepare and 90 seconds to two minutes to answer each, on motivation, teamwork and a market or problem solving prompt. Bank of America's version is reported to add situational judgement and written case modules for some divisions.
Timing
Around 20 minutes end to end. Marked by recruiters watching the recordings; neither firm publishes the criteria.
What is uncertain
Some Bank of America tracks (technology, wealth) are reported to sit SHL or HackerRank tests instead, and Goldman's Americas process differs from EMEA. Treat the question list as typical rather than fixed.
